Educational practice on PV usage and technology

Current instructional material on solar and light energy for electricity production will be mapped to identify the need for supplementary material and to suggest how existing material can be put to better use. Focus will be on ensuring that designers and builders have the required qualifications for including PV cells in the construction.

Project description

The project ''photovoltaics in the education sector'' is an unraveling and development program which has the aim to strengthen the knowledge to solar energy on all education levels from basic school to the univer-sity levels. The overall aim is that the project will help bringing photovoltaic in use in the energy production and by this way be a part of the way Denmark fulfils its climate and political energy goals. The project shall raise the knowledge about photovoltaic and by introducing solar in the education sector, the knowledge will also be spread into the private business sector when the level of awareness is raised. The project has mapped the existing learning material in the education sector and has come up with several ways implement and use the material in the planning of new classes, including development of some new material. There has also been held some workshops during the project period so the project material in this way has been tested
