BOLIG+ - realisation of energy neutral housing
The project involves technical support activities in an international competition between inter-disciplinary teams. The competition aims to select the team to design a low-energy (Bolig+) development in the local authority of Aalborg. The project includes co-funding of, for example, auxiliary equipment, to allow the development's energy performance to reach Bolig+ standards.
BOLIG+ is: - energy neutral (on a yearly basis) including electricity for private equipment and lighting. intelligent and user-friendly. - flexible - in use and over time. with a good and healthy indoor climate. - of high architectural quality, adapted to the context. The BOLIG+ initiative is about promoting new ways of designing sustainable multi-storey housing, and an international project contest on this is to be launched in 2008 in Aalborg. Through the competition process the participating teams will be supported by a team of specialists to achieve energy neutral integrated solutions. A jury will evaluate the incoming proposals according to the BOLIG+ criteria and appoint the winning team for designing and realising the project. Through the design process the winning team will be supported by specialists to develop and evaluate technical solutions. The concrete winning project will be built in 2009-2010 and a comprehensive programme for measuring and evaluating indoor climate and energy consumption will be implemented in the buildings. The measurements will be performed with measuring devices communicating by an open and wireless standard. The measuring and evaluation results from the BOLIG+ buildings will be promoted widely and the public will be invited to visit the houses
