Partcipation in IEA Hydrogen Implementing Agreement, Task 22 ''Fundamental and applied hydrogen storage materials development'' og Task 24 ''Wind Energy and Hydrogen Integration''
The project funds Danish participation in two tasks under the IEA's Hydrogen Implementing Agreement, which in addition to the EU member states counts Japan, The USA, Canada and Australia. In Denmark, the knowledge thus gathered will be communicated via the Danish Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Partnership and the Hydrogen Innovation and Research Centre.
Danish participation in the Implementing Agreement involved two tasks: In the area of materials for hydrogen storage, Risø DTU participated in a project combining large-scale computer simulations with x-ray and neutron scattering to improve hydrogen absorption and desorption from solid substances. Task 22 website: www.hydrogenstorage.org. Task 24 on integration of wind and hydrogen technology comprises four sub-tasks, the progress of which may be tracked at task24hidrogenoaragon.org. One result of the partnership was a joint Danish, Spanish, German and Swiss application under the EU’s JTI-Hydrogen and Fuel Cell programme, the outcome of which is expected in 2009.
