Demonstration of micro combined heat and power (CHP) based on Danish fuel cells, phase 3
Experience from the CHP units in phase 2 will be put to use in the final phase of mCHP to test an additional 100 units at the premises of the two project host teams in Sønderborg and Lolland, respectively. The test phase is expected to result in the development of fully commercial micro CHP plants based on Danish fuel cells.
The project 'Demonstration of micro combined heat and power (mCHP) based on Danish fuel cells, phase 3' includes 3 project phases following each other, ending up in demonstration of 100 'close to commercial' mCHP fuel cell units at 'real end users'. The present project concerns phase 3 of the over all project. Based on the experience from phase 1 and 2, and on the research carried out in the participating companies, 100 mCHP units will be designed, build and tested during phase 3. The 100 mCHP units will be developed, build and tested by the DKmCHP Industry team. Subsequently, a number of each type will be hosted by DKmCHP Øst in Lolland and by DKmCHP SYD in Sønderborg at end-users. The host teams will ensure that the units are installed and serviced during the demonstration period. the project will support the costs related to developing, building, testing and monitoring the units, which will be delivered to host teams during the project period
