The aim of the project is to identify problems by using producer gas from biomass for production of methanol and DME (dimethyl ether).

Project description

The aim of the project is to identify problems by using producer gas from biomass for production of methanol and DME (dimethyl ether). The project will continue activities initiated in a master thesis project which have been carried out at DTU. This project demonstrated the methanol production process. The aim is to operate a lab.top plant for 750 hours using gas produced by the Viking two stage gasifier at DTU. Further more is the aim to re-build a lab top entrained flow combustor for gasification application. Modeling of the process will be initialized, and energy system considerations will be carried out
