Solar energy and the new Danish building regulations
A calculation tool was developed for use of solar energy in renovation and new construction projects - BYG-SOL – for professional clients, local authorities, architects and consultants. The tool may be used to assess the contribution of solar energy to the energy limit.
BYG-SOL makes it possible to compare various energy initiatives and their construction and operating costs. An assessment using BYG-SOL may subsequently be followed by an actual energy calculation in Be06. An additional catalogue was prepared of solar energy solutions in various types of buildings. The tool can be downloaded from www.solarcitycopenhagen.dk.
