IEA Fischer Tropsch as fuels for transport

Institut for Mekanik Energi og Konstruktion

The project will be carried out under the umbrella of IEA Advanced Motor Fuels Agreement.

Project description

The main purpose of the project is to get better data and information about synthetic fuels produced from natural gas and gasified biomass by Fischer Tropsch (FT) technique, for coming decisions about an eventually introduction of synthetic fuels replacing gasoline and diesel fuel. The report will contain an evaluation of production technology, suitable raw materials for production of FT fuels, emissions from production and application, and an evaluation of economical aspects of the production of FT gasoline and diesel fuels from biomass and natural gas
