Electrical design and optimization of wind turbine
The project included the second phase of a process aimed at establishing a platform for wind turbine simulation as a prerequisite for advanced electrical design and optimisation.
Project description
.
Results
Complex models in four simulation tools from the first phase were extended and optimised to improve the methods for the simulation of wind turbine operation from wind influence to electrical grid capacity. The second phase focused primarily on simulation from shaft power to the electrical grid and on applying the models in the mechanical simulation tool, HAWC. Work continues under ERP project 33033-0266.
