Low energy light source/luminaire based on LED technology for outdoor lighting e.g. street light

With LED based light sources great energy savings and environmental advantages are expected as power consumption, maintenance and use of material are significantly reduced.

Project description

It is the object of the project to provide new knowledge about LED based light sources and their application in outdoor lighting including street light and furthermore prove significant reductions in power consumption, maintenance and material consumption. Furthermore it is an object to uncover the different requirements for outdoor lighting in order to control the light sources according to the actual needs
