IEA Annex 36: Retrofitting in educational buildings
IEA Annex 36 investigations have resulted in an easy-to-use electronic tool for retrofitting mainly of schools.
Project description
The name of the tool is 'Energy concept advisor' and it is an electronic knowledge base/calculation program that has four main sections: inspiration, advice, design guides and a calculation tool for energy and economy optimisation of an overall concept for a concrete renovation project. The purpose of this application is to test and evaluate the above tool. This follow up is necessary to ensure widespread use of the tool and to check that the calculation results of the tool are correct. The Municipalities of Ballerup and Copenhagen will test the tool on some retrofitting projects
