PV-shade

Objectives: Through development and demonstration of an innovative concept for the use of photo voltaic, the objectives are: 1) To advance the use of photovoltaic techniques in Denmark. 2) To advance the development of esthetical and facade-integrated solutions for PV in all categories of buildings. 3) To reduce the overall building costs by integrating PV in necessary shading devices.

Project description

4) To support and improve cooperation between manufacturers of shading devices, solar cells, and control systems, and hereby enhance the export opportunities on the international market. 5) To support established networks of solar cell suppliers in Denmark and create attractive new niches for development. Work Plan: The project work is described in seven phases: 1. Literature review and documentation. 2. Development of concept for integration of solar cells in shading devices. 3. Design simulations for the optimization of the overall function of the systems. 4. Development and implementation of models for the multi-functional control systems. 5. Laboratory tests for improvement of practical functions. 6. Pilot-project: implementation in real building. 7. Documentation and dissemination of results Results: The results will be published through a By og Byg Report, documenting the control models developed as well as the performance of the systems in the laboratory and in the pilot-project
