The objective of the project was to participate in the IEA annex 'Dynamic models of wind farms for power system studies'. The objective of the IEA annex is to establish an international forum for exchanging knowledge and experience within the field of wind farm modelling for power system studies.

Project description

The working program can be summarized as: 1) Exchange of information and knowledge. 2) Description and validation of partners wind farm models. 3) Set-up and operation of a common database for benchmark testing for wind turbine and wind farm models. Verified models for power system interaction with wind farms will have increasing importance in future design of wind energy development, to ensure an economic and reliable operation of the power systems with wind energy
