Test plant for supercritical clean-up of tar contaminated water

As a continuation of preliminary experiments on super critical water cleaning a process development unit (PDU) for a capacity of 50-60 kg/h will be designed and built.

Project description

The PDU will be used to verify the processes of supercritical wet oxidation and supercritical wet gasification in a EU 5th Framework, which is expected to begin November 2002 in a co-operation with the present partners and the University of Napoli and Research Institute IWC in Hamburg. The processes have been verified on a 1-2 kg/h labscale system and if the EU project is similarily successfull it is expected, that a demonstration will take place on a danish biomass gasification plant
