Hydrogen car with internal combustion engine

The aim of the project is to develop a technique for conversion of standard gasoline engines to operate on hydrogen, including the necessary safety conditions for test running on a closed track, but with the perspective that the technique can be used in subsequent demonstration projects.

Project description

At the end of the project a gasoline run car has been converted to operate on hydrogen and the necessary descriptions have been made of how the conversion is carried out. So the project will end up in a usual passenger car which can be shown off at workshops, exhibitions, meetings, and conferences as well as to newspapers, TV and radio in order to maximize the public attention to the technology. The car will be supplied with hydrogen from Folkecenter for Renewable Energy's electrolysis plant which is operated by windturbine power. The project also includes construction of a filling station for filling of high-pressure tanks
