Development efficient photovoltaic refrigerator without lead-accumulator
Phase 1: Energy balances are calculated and the main dimensions of the cabinet are decided.
The guidelines from WHO and Unicef will be used for this purpose and an independent expert will be used. A mathematic model will be developed for simulation under different circumstances. Phase 2: Detailed calculations of the evaporator, ice storage etc. By using program from phase 1. The power supply, including PV-panels and controller will be dimensioned. The refrigeration system will be optimised. Vacuum-panels, PV-panels and compressor will be bought. Phase 3: Manufacturing 3 cabinets, evaporators and ice storages. The refrigeration systems will be manufactured. After that the power supply and controller will be installed. A first check will be made by Elcold. Phase 4: 3 units will tested at TI Energy in climate chamber. The carbinets will be equipped by instruments. Test will be made and the units will be tuned to ensure correct temperatures inside the cabinets. Phase 5: Further tests are made to fulfil the demands from WHO. Phase 6: An external consultant will run field test in a developing country. Phase 7: The project will be documented by a report
