Safety aspects related to the utilization of hydrogen in the other projects in the Danish Hydrogen programme
The project is divided into two parts, i.e. a general review part and a project specific part. General: 1) General review of safety aspects related to hydrogen driven vehicles and related stationary equipment. 2) Collecting available knowledge on safety aspects related to hydrogen utilization through literature studies, the Internet and international experts and authorities etc.
Project specific: For each of the other projects under the Danish hydrogen programme (Ref. nos. 1763/98-0002, 0004, 0005, 0011 and 0012), consultancy concerning safety aspects as well as assistance during contact to authorities will be offered. 1) Participation in demand analysis and requirement specification. Specification of safety related requirements based on authority and standards. 2) Clarification of authority conditions for each project. 3) Participation in risk analyses. If needed, national and international expertise on risk analysis will be involved. Also, technical assistance regarding gas/hydrogen/safety aspects will be offered in the risk group work. The tasks in project 1763/98-0002 'Fuel-cell bus in Copenhagen' are the following: 1) Contact to authorities regarding establishment of hydrogen bus operation. 2) Review af safety related aspects of hydrogen bus production. 3) During the operation phase, safety related incidents are to be analysed. 4) General investigation of safety aspects related to a broad implementation of hydrogen utilisation in busses in Copenhagen
