Remote power supply systems with wind power
The project objective is to develop more generally applicable assessment and design criteria for isolated power supply systems, and the expected result is a guideline for design of such systems.
Objectives and expected result: Presently, studies of isolated systems have been case-oriented and thus it has been difficult to extent results from one project to another due to the stronger individuality of systems with few components. Thus, the project objective is to develop more generally applicable assessment and design criteria for isolated power supply systems, and the expected result is a guideline for design of such systems. Project components: The main project components are: 1) Review of relevant existing studies of isolated systems. 2) Users' requirements to the systems. 3) Development of method. 4) Design tools. 5) Data collection and measurements in Egypt and verification of models. 6) Reporting. Project participants and organisation: Participants are Risø National Laboratory, Denmark ( also project leader), New and Renewable Energy Agency (NREA), Egypt and Darup Associates, Denmark
