CanDan III, iPEMStack
The plan is to develop a PEM (Proton Exchange Membrane) fuel cell stack with integrated basic functionality for micro combined heat and power. Balance of plant components are integrated into the fuel cell stack. Hence, integration into micro combined heat and power systems is easier and more cost efficient. The additional functionality compared to a traditional stack will require redesign of the interface into the stack to include the necessary functionality. The project will include establishment of a pilot production line for the integrated stack in Denmark. The concept will be focusing on application in micro combined heat and power, but a major opportunity for power units for 3rd World countries will also be part of the business plan. CEMTEC will establish location and the facilities necessary to house the pilot production line and testing facilities for the integrated PEM stacks established as part of this project. Dissemination of the project will also for the most part be taken care of by CEMTEC. The project will be an important element in bringing cost down on micro combined heat and power system
The purpose is to develop the core of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell system to include a number of necessary control functions. The project includes establishing a pilot production line for the fuel cell core. This development will make it possible to produce fuel cell systems for micro compbined heat and power cheaper and more reliable
