IEA corporation, Advanced Fuel Cells, Annex 25, Stationary Fuel Cells
The project relates to participation in international corporation in an annex related to IEA (International Energy Agency) on stationary fuel cells for distributed generation of power in small units. The project has included participating in international meetings between experts in the field and exchange of information on a national level on the international development. The work will continue in another project.
In Annex 25 experience involving stationary fuel cell systems has been exchanged within the individual member states. The impressive Japanese development of microcraftheat is being followed carefully and the discussion involves how the new European building regulation and high electrical prices can enhance the use of microcraftheat. The use of the large scaled PEM fuel cell systems, which takes advantage of the extra hydrogen from the chemical industry, is being explode and it is discussed how it in the best possible way can handle the different kinds of nature gas qualities there is to find in the European gas net. The participation in the workgroup gives the opportunity to participate in international projects. The work in Annex 25 will continue until 2014.
