IEA - Annex: Electric motor systems
This annex extends the cooperation between 5-7 IEA member countries on electric motor systems for use in industry, infrastructure and major constructions to promote efficiency enhancement by using market mechanisms. Focus is on pumps, fans, compressors and direct electric drives for traction
Under this IEA – cooperation project (known as IEA: 4E EMSA) there will in the years 2009-11 be collected information about the electric motor (under this: the minimum demands for energy efficiency) and develop a technical professional anneks with the aim to promote energy efficiency and marked mechanism within the chosen technological field. The work has character of dissemination and networking. The results of the work will be shown at the anneks homepage http://motorsystems.org here there will be links to relevant electrical motor standards, the political tools for chosen countries, software for calculation of electrical motor etc.
