Fuel cell driven small electric vehicle powered by reformed methanol
GMR machines and a couple of project participants will develop a prototype and a pilot series of fuel cell driven electrical car. The energy source for the electrical cars comes from a HT-PEM fuel cell technology and reformed methanol. A methanol provided fuel cell GMR multitruck can open a new marked and add commendable growth for the existing GMR costume group.
The main purpose of this demonstration project is to develop and construct a prototype and later a pilot series of fuel cell driven small electric vehicles powered by reformed methanol. A methanol powered fuel cell GMR multitruck will enable market access to new market segments for GMR and provide added value for GMR's existing customers. The project demonstrates the promising technology of using a HT-PEM (High Temperature Proton Exchange Membrane) fuel cell stack in conjunction with a methanol reformer on the important near term market segment of non-road service vehicles
