New cover solution for the pit heat storage in Marstal
The project aims at developing and demonstrating a new fluent and isolated selling construction for the 10.000m3 water heating storage in Marstal Fjernvarme. The solution is expected to be implemented in the future bigger sized storages.
The purposes of the project is to project and demonstrate a new fluent lid solution for the existing 10.000 m3 steam heat storage were the total design can be used for future steam heating storage at over 50.000 m3. Other district heating plants (including Donninglund were the front projecting is sponsed by Væstforum Nordjjylland and Dronninglund Fjernvarme) is interested in establishing a big solar heating area combined with a steam heating storage and heat pumps. Therefore a consortium for service of the altogether concept will be established. The concept can cover 100 % of the heat production in a districted heating plant.
In the project there were designed 4 different lid models, but none of them were used. There was discovered widespread corrosion in pipes and other metal parts of the store, which was too expensive to repair. Marstal renounced to complete the project.
