Design of an SOFC standard module

The project aim is to develop an integrated SOFC module (standard module) which can be based on the most cost effective materials and manufacturing processes in order to reduce SOFC plant expenses.

Project description

The module comprises a mantle confining the hot part of an SOFC plant with the fuel cell stacks and the hot part of the balance of plant (BOP). The development of an integrated design will be bases on process simulations of different plant configurations involving e.g. internal reforming of natural gas in the fuel cells. Further the design and material of the electric coupling of the cell stacks will be addressed. Also the requirements of the inverter will be taken into consideration
