Danish Solar Thermal Action Plan - with an international perspective

The project will deliver a proposal for an effective 5-year Danish Solar Thermal Action Plan for developing solar thermal energy sector in Denmark towards the goals given in the national strategy for this sector. The work will be coordinated with the ongoing European work in the European Solar Thermal Technology Platform (ESTTP): The project will participate in the ESTTP with the aims to: 1) promote the Danish key priorities in ESTTP (create focus in future EU R and D programmes in areas where Danish solutions, know-how and products have a strong position; e.g. solar assisted district heating) in order to increase Danish export possibilities; 2) bring back - via ESTTP -experience, inspiration and ideas from other European countries for: a) make use of the gained knowledge in the Danish Solar Thermal Action Plan and coordinate the Danish efforts with the development and work already going on in the other EU countries; b) utilisation in the Danish solar thermal industry in order to strengthen its position on the large and fast growing European solar thermal market.
