Energy efficient adaptive process ventilation

The project aims to develop and demonstrate a suction arm for process extraction based on automation and robotics technology that follows the pollution from industrial processes with lower energy consumption than today.
Project description

The project aims to develop and demonstrate a suction arm for process extraction based on automation and robotics technology that follows the pollution from industrial processes with lower energy consumption than today. Main activities:

  • WP1: MECHANICAL DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION: 1.1 Safety - sepcs.; 1.2 Mechanical specs.; 1.3 Selection of mechanical components; 1.4 Mounting of actuator/sensor on GeoVent extractor.
  • WP2: SENSOR DEVELOPMENT: 2.1 Establish safety system and sensory; 2.2 Development of the detection sensor.
  • WP3: MANAGING TECHNICAL DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION: 3.1 Test of collision scenarios - RobWork; 3.2 Programming of extractor; 3.3 Programming of user interface; 3.4 Programming of app for android smart phone for controlling.
  • WP4: VENTILATION TECHNIQUE. 4.1 Effect measurement before and after; 4.2 Clarify processes/sources where EAP can be used; 4.3 Documentation of the extractor's optimal design and placement; 4.4 Documentation of the total power of installation; 4.5 Effect measurement (energy and environment) on demonstrator; 4.6 Final measurements.
  • WP5: DEMONSTRATOR TEST WITH ''CUSTOMER''. 5.1 Demonstrator test GeoVent. Further development testing in our own workshop; 5.2 Demonstrator test Mercantec. Testing, demonstration and evaluation.
  • WP6: DISSEMINATION. 6.1 News dissemination; 6.2 Attendance at industry trade fair; 6.3 Final report. It's a project goal that the EAP Demonstrator is relatively close to the market
