Through energy optimisation of system components for a chiller with CO2 as refrigerant a water cooling system is developed as a energy efficient alternative for cooling system with HFC. Special focus areas are evaporate design, adiabatic moisturization of condenser air, compressor design, valves, control and regulation and system optimisation.
