Energy efficient process exhaustion from moulding machines

This project has developed new exhaustion screens for traditional Kehler mashines and reduced the exhausted air volumens by 50 % and thereby the total energy consumption.
Results

Involving chip removal machines in the Danish wood and furniture industry are equipped with traditional exhaustion screens that need relatively large exhausted air volumes for satisfactory usage. By mounting new energy efficient axhaustion screens that are modified the machinery tool can the energy consumption for process exhaustion reduced by half.

This project has developed new exhaustion screens for traditionel Kehler mashines and reduced the exhausted air volumens by 50 % and thereby the total energy consumption.

Based on a full scale test of a representive Kehler machine, the exhaustion for almost 300 of all 1.500 Kehler machines in the Danish industry can be more efficient by economic attrative condition.
