Heat pumps using vertical bore hole as heat source

Installation of two heat pumps with vertical bore hole as heat source and a measurement program is accomplished for verifying the calculation models from the preliminary project 342-066. The results will be a tool for deciding of the bore holes efficiency and dimensioning of bore holes for heat pumps for single family houses.
Results

In this preliminary project the Danish Technological Institute has mapped the requirements for establishing heat pumps with vertical drillings for heat extration from the ground. The mapping has shown that most places in Denmark have good soil conditions, but implementation requires that the drilling company has the right competences. In a specific project it is important to know about the water table, water flow, the type of the soil and its properties.
