Long-term deactivation of HD SCR catalyst by straw co-combustion

Investigations of long term exposure of SCR catalysts to flue gas from coal-straw co-firing has been carried out in two units of the Studstrup Power Plant with an average fraction of 10% straw on an energy basis. Two types of commercial SCR catalysts (HTAS and BASF) were used in the study, with varied exposure time from approximately 5,000 to 19,00

Two types of commercial SCR catalysts (HTAS and BASF) were used in the study, with varied exposure time from approximately 5,000 to 19,000 hours. The activity of all elements was measured before and after exposure in a bench-scale test rig at the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, Technical University of Denmark. (Energy 11)
