SOFC R and D
The project achieved significant electrodes and cell improvements and compiled new knowledge.
Results
Electro-chemical processes, electrode and interface structures (including long-time degradation for 1,500 hours) were studied on SOFC made from various electrolytes and electrodes. Kinetics were modelled in a micro-structure based model “calibrated” against experimental results. The project met expectations of achieving an ASR (Area Specific Resistance) of 0.3 Ù/cm2 at 700°C.
