Joint project on biomass: Development of a generalized model for combustion on grate
This project consisted of two parts: Establishment of test facilities and design of a model that describes how combustion in grate-fired power plant boilers takes place. The establishment of the test system was a success, and researchers and students wanting to write theses on biomass combustion regularly use the system. However, the model construction proved far more complicated than expected, and, for the time being, the researchers have dismissed it for this part of the project.
