AquaBuOY scale 1:10 test in Nissum Bredning

The present R and D will be used to build a 1:10 scale model of a single AquaBuOY and test and measure its performance in a range of sea conditions at the testsite in Nissum Bredning on 5 meters deep water. In full scale the AquaBuOY will have an installed power of 250 kW and be located on a water depth of 50 meters.
Results

The object of the project was to construct and test a scale 1:10 model of the AquaboOY. A system breakdown meant that the project was not completed according to the original plan, and the planned measuring programme was therefore not completed. The project gained experience in the actual construction, later used in the design of a 1:2 model built and launched by Finevera Renewables off the coast of Oregon, USA.
