Results
The project developed a PV cell roof based on a modified industrial installation system for commercial nurseries. Components are non-framed PV cell modules with several novel features, including front switches. The project also prepared guidelines for systematic PV cell integration in construction processes and with wide potential use in the construction sector. Cost calculations show that the developed roof installation system shows price/performance ratios on a par with standard PV cell plants placed on racks and offers significant architectural advantages and savings on alternative roofing.
