Shadow effects from the Horns Rev offshore wind turbine park at Horns Rev
The target ot the project is to erect 2 meteorological measurement towers east of the offshore wind farm Horns Rev, establishment of the measurement system, performing data collection and validation. The objectives are the establishment of the meteorological basic database for future modelling and evaluation of wake effects thus being able to locate the distance between large scale offshore wind farms. The meteorological towers will be located east of the wind farm in a distance ot 2 and 6 km respectively. The location is selected on the basis of the dominant wind direction at Horns Rev. The installation and commissioning ot the meteorological towers are expected to be executed during the first six months of 2003. The following data collection will take place in the following 1 1/2 year-period. The contents and the planning ot this project have been pointed out and motivated through the project 'Measurements at Horns Rev offshore park' (Eltra PSO-2001 no. 3192). Planning, purchasing, establishing and operation has taken place within the scheduled time and the approved budget. Operation and data acquisition and storing is in good working order and in compliance with the expectations. Full service is carried out on the two met masts until today and measuring data can be seen On http://test7.scancommerce.dk/hornsrev under Wake masts. All measuring data have been transferred to DTU. The analysis of wake effect is continued in the project PSO Elkraft SystemIFU4103, Large scale wind farm's wake effect: Measurements and data analysis, in which the results from the present project are a substantial part of the basis
