Sensors for improved performance in marine combustion

Project description

A novel and unique sensor system for measure- ment and control of the emission of harmful environmental gasses may reduce the emissions from marine and power-plant industries globally. The project’s overall objective is to develop novel efficient, reliable sensors for measuring the emission of harmful environmental gasses (NOx, NH3, SOx, CO2 etc.) from marine vessels and large power plants in order to reduce emissions while simultaneously optimising energy efficiency. The sensor system shall ensure major environmental improvement, reduction of fossil fuel consumption and better industrial business results.
The system needs to be robust, reliable and fast; easily adaptable to specific on-site measurement requirements; it should measure directly at the source of emission; and be feasible for both new and existing installations. This will resolve major issues with present sensor systems and offer new and unique opportunities for customers and users. The parties will develop, commercialise and deploy the system together worldwide.
