Partnership for Wave power – Roadmaps

Partnership for Wave Power (PfWP) was established under the EUDP project in 2011. A strategy was drawn, for the development and demonstration of wave power in Denmark.
This project, consolidates PfWP and will describe in detail how the common areas for development can be realized through a series of research, development and test activities. Each activity and interrelation will be described, including the individual challenges, economic and temporal aspects.
The aim is to prepare roadmaps for the following four areas:

The purpose is to coordinate the R&D and test activities to ensure that the resources are used appropriately and with the greatest possible progress.
Within each area, the starting point will point will be based on the state of the art technology, and from there, outlines what activities that are necessary to achieve the desired level of technology i.e. in 2020. The Roadmaps can thus be used to prioritize and coordinate technology development projects.
In the project, the Partnership members and other relevant actors gather for four workshops/seminars in order to prepare and define the projects that will be described in the roadmaps. In addition, it is the aim of the partnership workshops to create competent consortia (between several developers and in cooperation with other relevant professional expertise in the fields) that are forward-looking and can drive development work relating to the key topics.
