Solid Oxide Cell Testing, Safety and Quality Assurance

DTU Energikonvertering

The purpose is to develop and validate a full set of industry relevant test procedures for solid oxide cells, addressing performance, durability and degradation. The project will develop test procedures for SOFC and SOEC under dynamic operation conditions and implement characterization techniques like electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.

Project description

The SOCTESQA project will develop test procedures for solid oxide fuel cells and electrolysis cells - single cells and stack assembly. Test procedures will address solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC), solid oxide electrolysis cells (SOEC) and combined SOFC/SOEC operation for various applications. The project will liaise with industry and standardization organizations and is part of a larger European project.
