Ultra-Low Temperature District Heating in Apartment Buildings
ln Denmark, there is a growing interest in low-temperature district heating (LTDH) and ultra-low temperature district heating (ULTDH) with supply temperatures down to 3500. This interest is spurred by the continued strengthening of the Danish building code and the utility companies” energy efficiency obligations.
This project aims to promote the development of LTDH/ULTDH along with all the entailing
benefits. The project is divided into two main phases: 1) Analysis, development and adaptation of the concept, 2) Implementation and demonstration in an apartment building.
The main activities of phase 1 are:
1) Problem description and scoping
2) Analysis of concept and system
3) Assessment of potential
4) Detailed analysis of the selected concept
5) Design
6) lVlidterm evaluation and dissemination
The main activities of phase 2 are:
1) Implementation in an apartment building in Louiselund in Hørsholm
2) Tariff structures and technical provisions
3) Demonstration through measurements, tests and verification
4) Final evaluation and dissemination
The project and its results will be presented during the project as well as at the end of the project through a final report, conferences and a seminar for the industry and housing companies. Furthermore, articles will be published in relevant papers.
