An aesthetically attractive PVT roofing solution
The aim for this project is to develop and demonstrate that by utilizing the right combination of state-of-the-art technologies it is possible to achieve near self-sufficiency on an annual basis without compromising on user comfort or aesthetics while maintaining an attractive ROI even with few or no governmental incentives.
When selecting green energy solutions for the building sector today the choices are plenty, but poor integration of the independent systems often leads to slow ROI, compromised aesthetics and questionable user comfort.
In 2011 Innogie received funding from Fornyelsesfonden for developing a solar thermal based roofing solution combined with a power generating ground source heat pump and an intelligent forecasting/control system. With that project Innogie demonstrated that it is possible to create synergy by combining an energy generating roofing solution with the energy infrastructure of the house.
Maintaining this ideology Innogie wishes to expand its portfolio to also comprise a system based on a PVT roofing solution combined with a frequency regulated heat pump and a long-life battery pack.
By utilizing a PVT roofing solution as primary energy source the ground source collector is no longer needed which will pave the way for a vastly broader consumer base.
