New BIPV Technology

The proposed project is realised based on previous EUDP- BIPV RTD woek aiming at futher cost reductions of BIPV and PV mounting solutions together with a completely new BIPV product, which can be obtained in many colours incl. white, and with an efficiency above 10%. FUll scale demonstration in row-house renovation in Gladsaxe, with 30 kWp BIPV.
Project description
It is the idea in the peoposed EUDP - BIPV project to focus on the fact that contractors and BIPV suppliers need to be able to incorporate BIPV technology at low costs into the normal building process for facades and roofs with a special view towards renovation projects. It is aimed to continue previous BIPV oriented RTD work especially concerning mounting systems, so it is useful for integration of both PV modules as well as matching neutral elements, aiming at an easy access towards the market, so e.g. profile system can be purchased through normal channels like building markets ect., and it is an aim to reduce the total cost of BIPV mounting as much as possible. To realise full scale tests prior to demonstration, it is suggested to focus on LCA documentation and to realise full scale BIPV integration at facilities at the Technological Insitute. The best BIPV solution will based on this be introduced in sonnection to renovation of social housing row houses from the 1950'ies in Gladsaxe near Copenhagen.
