Mapping WBG applications over a timeline

This project for the 4E annex PECTA, maps the performance and timeline of deployment for the use of new components in the wind turbine, engine and pump control industry with the objective of providing an informed basis for strategical political measures, to promote the application of this energy efficient technology.

Project description

Power electronic conversion you know from the mobile phone charger, but power electronics are also of great importance for wind turbines, motors and pump controllers and Denmark has a strong hold position as a world leader. In Denmark, companies have development and production facilities that employ +3500 people in power electronics and an economic turnover of wind, motor and pump controllers for 10 billion. DKK annually. We are looking into a future with new components that can be used in power electronics with potentially greatly improved properties however; a number of challenges must be overcome. This project for the 4E annex PECTA, maps the performance and timeline of deployment for the use of new components in the wind turbine, engine and pump control industry with the objective of providing an informed basis for strategical political measures, to promote the application of this energy efficient technology.
