IEA DHC Annex TS5
Danish participation in IEA DHC Annex TS5 “Integration of Renewable Energy Sources into District Heating and Cooling Systems (RES DHC)”.
In 2017 the share of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) in district heating and cooling (DHC) was only 9% worldwide. The dynamic growth of RES is expected. Therefore the International Energy Agency Technology Collaboration on District Heating and Cooling (IEA DHC) has started preparation of Annex TS5 “Integration of Renewable Energy Sources into District Heating and Cooling Systems (RES DHC)”. This application covers Danish participation in Annex TS5. The work in TS5 is expected to result in international fact sheets for existing technologies and combinations hereof, fact sheets for assessment of RES potentials, an overview of obstacles and bottlenecks for the transition to RES technologies, guidelines for transition incl. business models, analysis of case studies and proposals for framework changes and models for stakeholder perception.
