IEA Task 46 - Erosion af vindmøllevinger
The overall aim of the project is to enable Danish participation in the International Energy Agency (IEA) Wind Task 46 Erosion of Wind Turbine Blades. The knowledge transfer facilitated by the IEA Task will contribute to improved mitigation of erosion of wind turbine blades of high relevance for the Danish research and industry.
The overall aim of the project is to enable Danish participation in the International Energy Agency (IEA) Wind Task 46 Erosion of Wind Turbine Blades.
Denmark has a global leading role in wind turbine blade research and development and wind farms at operational scale. The recent situation is that erosion of turbine blades limit power production and cause additional costs. To mitigate this condition, the IEA Wind Technology Collaborative Programme (TCP) Wind Task 46 international network is centered on international collaboration and coordination on four multi-disciplinary topics: 1) Climatic conditions driving blade erosion, 2) Wind turbine operation with erosion, 3) Laboratory testing of erosion, and 4) Erosion mechanisms and material properties.
The aim is to identify, explore, influence and support decisions through exchange of information, conducting analysis and sharing of results. The work will be documented in publications and reports. The knowledge transfer facilitated by the IEA Task will contribute to improved mitigation of erosion of wind turbine blades of high relevance for the Danish research and industry.
