SpeedUP

Udvikling af direkte drivet højhastigheds turbokompressor til højtemperaturvarmepumpning (> 100C) med vanddamp som arbejdsmedie

Project description

New concept: High-temperature heat pump based on steam turbo-compressor and high-speed motor

The project includes the development and testing of a new concept with a directly driven high-speed turbo compressor to achieve an energy efficient, compact and competitive heat pump using steam as a refrigerant. The target market is in replacing heat supply in industrial processes at temperatures above 100°C and with heat output of 500 – 1500 kW. The technology thus opens up an efficient electrification of the process industry, which will result in a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions from fuel-fired heat supplies (boilers or CHP).
