Project description

The aim of the project “Digital Oracle for Ultra Low Temperature Freezers” is to develop a cloud-based surveillance software model to transform large amounts of temperature and electricity data into simple recommendations to save energy, avoid inappropriate use of freezers, or detect the need for maintenance. The point of departure for the project is ultra-low temperature freezers which are used in pharmaceutical companies and biobanks. The ULT freezers constitute a relevant area for developing a surveillance platform for refrigeration products due to a significant energy consumption, the high value of the content in the freezer, and the large temperature difference between the freezer and ambient temperature.
