Mod H2-dreven forretningsmodel: Portfolioledelse af et multi-energistyringssy-stem under usikkerhed
HOMEY is software solution that will use probabilistic forecasts to optimize the energy management of hybrid renewable power plants. It will enable the portfolio owner to make informed uncertainty-aware decisions leading to the maximization of the profit coming from multiple streams (hydrogen generation, ancillary services, electricity to the grid)
HOMEY will develop and test a first of its kind portfolio management software (RHYPE) for hybrid hydrogen - renewable power plants. The main activities in the project are centered on developing (i) first a deterministic (i.e., uncertainty-agnostic) and then a stochastic (i.e., uncertainty-aware) model for optimal operational plan-ning of the hybrid RE power plant that will form the core of RHYPE, (ii) developing the software IT infrastructure and front-end user interface to be used by hybrid RE power plant operators and (iii) culminating with testing and validation period for RHYPE in SGRE´s Floe site in Brande for 11 months (i.e., 6 months first testing the deterministic model and 5 months for testing the stochastic model). RHYPE will be integrated with an existing hybrid RE power plant control tool currently under development by Siemens Gamesa Re-newable Energy (SGRE), to provide a unique multi-energy management system (EMS) that optimally man-ages several energy assets and provides the power system with more flexibility sources.
RHYPE has the potential to bring up to DKK 185 MN for the Danish energy industry as whole, reduce CO2 emissions by +10 Mt within Denmark and the EU and create 150 new jobs in Denmark between 2024 and 2028.
