REFWIND - Referencevindmøller og vindfarme
The purpose of the project is to support the Danish participation in IEA Wind Task 55, which aims to establish an international collaboration around the development and maintenance of reference wind turbines and plants, both land-based and offshore. The task will also act as the coordinating body for a series of workshops on systems engineering for wind energy to promote the present task and related projects.
This project will support DTU’s participation on behalf of Denmark in the IEA Wind Task 55 “REFWIND - REFerence WIND Turbines and Plants”, which was approved at the Exco91. The task has the purpose of establishing and maintaining reference wind turbines and plants and define these using a rigorous ontology called WindIO, which was initiated in the predecessor to this task, Task 37. Through participation in Task 55, DTU can align its activities in the wide range of national and EU projects that will make use of the developed reference systems and ensure that the WindIO ontology is adopted internally in software packages, and amongst academic and industrial collaboration partners.
