Ultra effektiv og Dark Sky-kompatibel solcelledrevet udendørsbelysning

The project aims to develop the first Danish-designed ultra-efficient solar-powered lamps that can be used globally. These lamps will be DarkSky compliant and will be based on a Danish-developed lighting system platform, which also includes generally applicable calculation and design methods. The luminaire will be 100% powered by the solar energy falling on the solar cells incorporated in the product’s body.

The project's focus will be on further optimizing the efficiency of a range of technologies in a solar powered lamp. If we achieve the expected enhancements, the developed new solar lamps will serve as a real alternative to outdoor lamps connected to the electrical grid.

The result of the project is an illumination system platform that includes solar panels with integrated antenna, LEDs and optics, electronics for intelligent control, IoT, and energy storage. All components are integrated into new innovative luminaire designs for optimal performance, sustainable mechanical structure, and DarkSky compliance. Nordic Firefly will sell technology packages to lighting manufacturers and Signify (formerly Philips Lighting) will be the international manufacturer to produce and sell DarkSky certified solar powered lighting products.
