IEA Task 41 - Bidrag af distribueret vind til fremtidige energisystemer - fase II

The objective of the project is to continue the contribution to the international IEA Wind Task 41 cooperation on Distributed Wind (DW) technology development and assessment, by exchanging information, conducting explorative studies relevant for Danish stakeholders and by implementing a strong cross IEA Wind TPC Tasks collaboration effort. 

Project description

The main objective of this project is to contribute to the international IEA Wind Task 41 cooperation on Distributed Wind (DW) technology development and assessment, focusing on the Danish interest and large experience within wind power. This project enables a strong Danish participation in international IEA Task 41 activities during 2024-2026, both leveraging the Danish experience for IEA Task 41 as well as bringing the gained knowledge from IEA Task 41 back to the Danish stakeholders.  

The project aims actively to push the barriers for integration of DW into the evolving Danish electrical system, partly by exchanging and disseminating information, conducting analyses and explorative studies in the form of reports and publications, and partly by implementing a strong cross IEA Wind Tasks collaboration effort. In addition, the new phase of IEA Wind Task 41 will address DW human dimensions to facilitate social acceptance of DW, which is also relevant for Danish society at large. 

By supporting the work of the IEA Wind Task, this project will achieve and consolidate the Danish knowledge and experience within the DW area, increasing thus the competitiveness of wind and accelerating the phase-out of fossil-based fuels in Denmark.
