Produktion af Hydrogen med grøn energi i Ø-drift
Project purpose is to develop, test, demonstrate and mature a solution, that by supply of green energy from wind turbines, solar panels, and a battery system, with and without grid connection, can produce hydrogen by electrolysis in a stable and cost effective manner.
This project aims to develop, test, and demonstrate solutions related to the production of green hydrogen in different grid scenarios, with the main focus on off-grid / island operation. With some of the most favourable wind and solar conditions commonly being in remote areas onshore and offshore, reliable operation in reduced or off-grid conditions is paramount for cost-effective scaling and accelerating green hydrogen production in these locations.
This project includes wind turbines and solar PV with an electrolyser solution including a battery energy storage system, which will be integrated to operate off-grid in a stable and cost effectively manner. The project represents a critical step towards maturation of solutions and enablement of large-scale hydrogen production off-grid.
It's a project cooperation between Eurowind Energy A/S and Vestas Wind Systems A/S aimed at showcasing and deepening the understanding of the requirements that arise and need to be addressed in future solutions by all parties involved.
